Abbot's Kitchen, Glastonbury Abbey (2013)

A contract on the Abbot's Kitchen at Glastonbury Abbey, focusing on the careful removal of the extensive cement pointing and surface repair followed by repointing and repair in a lime mortar to enhance the archaeology of the building.  The interior of the building was cleaned and lime washed.  A complex and technically challenging programme of lifting the lias floor was achieved in order to install under floor heating.  The floor was re-laid to its original archaeological profile.
