St Peter's Church, Windrush

In 2014 Strachey Conservation carried out a condition and recommendation report on the Romanesque south door at St Peter’s Church, Windrush for Andrew Townsend Architects. The wonderful beakhead... The report was followed up by a conservation programme in May 2015 to clean, stabilise, consolidate and protect the stonework using a complex system of adhesive and surface repairs and sheltercoats. ... St John the Baptist, Yeovil

The condition of this magnificent 14th century Perpendicular style tower had deteriorated to a point where the stonework was in danger of falling.  The contract comprised of cleaning, stonework repair... We also hosted demonstrations and training events as part of the contract, which were well attended and received with great interest.The photographs below show details of the stone replacement and tiling-...
