We are currently working at Evesham Bell Tower; the magnificent and only remaining structure of the former Abbey complex.
A team of SSHC conservators and masons are tasked with addressing the deteriorating stonework through the removal of sulphation crusts and deposits, stabilising the decaying stonework and mortars, and re-establishing weatherings in order to slow future decay.
The images below show the state of the tower prior to the conservation programme.
The conservation programme underway with careful cleaning using nebular spray.
The repair programme begins with micro pinning and cutting out of stone to be replaced.
