Recently the rope access team  have undertaken the amazing job of  replacing the top of the spire at St Thomas's Church in Wells which had come down in a very spectacular fashion earlier in the year during a storm.

Our masons cut the new stones, re carved the finial all using the originals as a template for dimensions and design. They then fixed the stones in place, topping it of with the weathervane. The fixing was all undertaken with a mix of rope access and a very large platform lift.

A truly very impressive task! Well done everyone on the team.

The photo shows the size of the platform lift required for the task.
