On Tuesday 14th June, our cob team at the Tolpuddle Old Chapel, spent a day with specialist cob consultant Tobias Carleton-Prangnell from Black Pheasant Consultancy, undertaking a very interesting workshop.  Also taking part were Tori Wales from the Project Architects, Architecton Ltd, Structural Engineer Barry Honeysett, as well as Sarah Ball and Kim Collins from Historic England.

Tobias has given us advice on another interesting project we undertook recently, at St Briavel's Castle. At St Briavels the SSHC team undertook the sensitive repair of a recently failed section of the west face of the east curtain wall, including rebuilding of the collapsed sections of masonry. The earth core of the wall was repaired using earth mortars.
